What is the Fanny Wrapper?

The Fanny Wrapper is an innovative incontinence detection system. It includes a disposable pad with wireless water sensor that connects to a transmitter which in turn sends a wireless signal to the receiver. The signal alerts the caregivers to respond to the patient immediately so they can remove a wet and soiled undergarment in a timely manner. This will prevent the patient from developing rashes, infections, ulcers, and dehydration.

How does it work?

The disposable pad and sensor are placed inside the diaper and the Fanny Wrapper and transmission device are worn over the diaper. The Fanny Wrapper opens like a diaper and can be attached with Velcro and adhesive pile patches on the front and back of the hips. The Fanny Wrapper can also be personally designed for each individual’s needs. A pair of straps attached to the front of the waist is crossed over the chest to match with Velcro and adhesive pile patches on the back of the waist. In addition, a belt wraps around the waist and attaches in the back with Velcro. Click on the button below to visit our online store to purchase your fanny-wrapper system.

Why is moisture control so important?

Extended exposure to moisture can lead to serious dermatological problems. Elderly people with incontinence problems are more susceptible to over exposure to moisture either from urine or feces. Keeping residents clean and dry is crucial to maintaining healthy skin. The issue is so important, Title 22, the set of laws regulating residential care facilities for the elderly includes a section devoted exclusively to caring for incontinent residents.
